Women’s Rep Golf

The Canterbury Golf Association has a long and proud history of overseeing the Canterbury Women’s representative programme with the first Canterbury women’s team selected in 1949.

Each season various Canterbury teams are selected to compete in South Island interprovincial tournaments before the final team is selected to compete in the Women’s NZ Interprovincial tournament at the end of the year.

Past Canterbury Representatives

Canterbury Golf maintains a list of all our past Canterbury Women’s players who have represented our region at NZ Interprovincial level throughout our history. Accordingly, every player is recognised with their own unique “Canterbury Rep Number” in the order that they were first selected for an Interprovincial team.

For the women, this dates back to the first team selected in 1949 for the NZ Interprovincial tournament played at Invercargill Golf Club. Upon selection, each player is issued a unique red Canterbury Golf cap with their number embroidered.
