James joined the Canterbury Golf Executive in 2021. His paid employment is the Finance Manager at Raine & Horne Real Estate and his other job is unpaid Uber driver for his two children, after that he is allowed the occasional round of golf. Previously he has been on the Ellesmere Golf Club committee and held a variety of roles including Club Captain. He is the current Ellesmere representative to the Canterbury Central Committee.
